Welcome to THRIFTZ! By using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please review the terms carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our services.

1. Introduction

  • THRIFTZ is your one stop digital thrift marketplace, that facilitates the buying and selling of goods between users. We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. All transactions and communications are conducted directly between users.
  • These terms apply to all users of the platform, whether you are a seller, buyer, or visitor.

2. Eligibility to Use the Platform

  • By using THRIFTZ you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent to use the platform.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and using the platform.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are found to be in violation of these Terms & Conditions or if we determine your behavior is harmful to the platform or its users.

3. User Responsibilities

  • As a Buyer:
    • You are responsible for reviewing the seller’s listings and confirming any details before making a purchase.
    • You are responsible for contacting the seller directly to negotiate the price, request more information, or arrange payment and delivery.
    • You acknowledge that THRIFTZ does not guarantee the condition, authenticity, or legality of the items listed for sale.
  • As a Seller:
    • You agree to list items accurately, including all relevant information (e.g., condition, price, shipping options).
    • You are solely responsible for managing communication with buyers, negotiating prices, and fulfilling any agreed-upon transactions.
    • You must ensure that your listings comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Selling illegal or prohibited items is strictly forbidden (refer to Section 8 for a full list of prohibited items).

 

 
 

 

4. Prohibited Conduct

  • You may not use THRIFTZ for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:
    • Selling counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods.
    • Harassing, abusing, or defrauding other users.
    • Posting misleading information or creating false listings.
    • Collecting personal information from other users without their consent.
    • Spamming other users with unsolicited messages.
  • Violation of these rules may result in the suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.

5. Payments

  • THRIFTZ does not facilitate payments between users. Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing upon and executing payment methods (e.g., bank transfer, cash, Wise, Xendit etc.).
  • We recommend using secure payment methods to reduce the risk of fraud or disputes.
  • We are currently working on implementing a payment system, that offers the best experience and security for both the sellers and buyers.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Sellers and buyers are responsible for coordinating the shipping or delivery of items.
  • THRIFTZ is not liable for any issues arising during shipment, including delays, lost packages, or damages. We recommend using a reliable delivery service with tracking options.

7. Disputes Between Users

  • In the event of a dispute between users (e.g., over payment, delivery, or item condition), THRIFTZ is not responsible for resolving the conflict. We encourage users to communicate directly to resolve disputes.
  • We are happy to support you as much as we can in case of disputes, you can contact us via our contact form.

8. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being listed on THRIFTZ:

  • Illegal goods (e.g., narcotics, counterfeit items, stolen property).
  • Weapons and firearms.
  • Items that violate intellectual property rights (e.g., pirated media, counterfeit designer goods).
  • Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, explosives).
  • Other items prohibited to sell in your home country. 

9. Account Suspension and Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if we find that you are in violation of these Terms & Conditions or engaging in harmful behavior.
  • Users may also voluntarily terminate their accounts at any time by contacting customer support.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All content on THRIFTZ, including logos, designs, text, graphics, and software, is the intellectual property of THRIFTZ and its licensors.
  • You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from our platform without express written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • THRIFTZ is a facilitator of commerce and does not assume any responsibility for the actions of buyers and sellers on the platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of the items listed.
  • Under no circumstances will THRIFTZ, its affiliates, or its employees be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users.

12. Privacy Policy

  • Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our THRIFTZ for more information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Amendments to the Terms

  • THRIFTZ reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on the website, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically.
  • Continued use of the platform after changes have been made signifies your acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes arising from the use of THRIFTZ will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hong Kong.
